The park is closed mid June for the winter season and 'Master' is enjoys his well earned rest.

The park re-opens on September 1st - offering farm tours and refreshments.

For a small fee you will be provided with: -

  • photo opportunity with Master
  • guided tour of the alpaca complex.
  • opportunity to relax and enjoy spectacular country views from the veranda
  • opportunity to enjoy the gardens and view bird aviaries and other animals in the complex.
  • opportunity to try your hand a spinning.

There are 80 + alpacas living on the park  at any one time.

We are expecting  around 40 alpaca babies (cria) this season with the 'stork' to deliver the first early in September and the last is expected in late March next year.

When the crias have all arrived then the 'stork' starts bringing the lambs. It seems there are lambs all the time and they can be seen on the hill side as you approach the park from the road.

Stud lambs, breeding ewes, rams and fat lambs are available most times during the year.

'Goldie' won first in his class as a senior light fawn male at Wynyard show this year.

'Goldie' worked very hard last season and awaits the first of his off-spring. He has already told 'Chato' that the girls are all his.

'Chato' won his class as a intermediate fawn male and then defeated Goldie to the Supreme Light Fawn male at Wynyard Show 2007.

At Burnie show in 2007 he won Reserve Champion Adult Male.

'Chato' is eagerly watching the girls over the fence and hopes to begin work this season.  He thinks that he is a big macho now, time will tell.
